The world premiere of the SsangYong Rodius minivan in its new generation took place at the facilities of the Geneva Motor Show 2013, while I would like to draw attention to the fact that this model, for some countries, will be supplied with other names – Korando Turismo and Stavic.
This new SsangYong Rodius / Stavic, as it will be called, gets the looks of a pumped-up SUV that’s like it’s been addicted to steroids as it gets bloated in virtually every direction. Its length is 5130 mm, its width is 1915 mm, its height is 1815 mm and its wheelbase is actually 3 meters. At the same time, we pay attention to the changes in the overall silhouette of this new model from the new generation, which now does not differ in rounded shapes, but offers an angular and more rigorous design option.
But in fact, this SsangYong Rodius / Stavic car is not respected for its design, but in many ways for its very large interior, which can offer accommodation for four rows of seats. Due to which this model can be obtained with a cabin for nine, ten or all eleven seats. And, if you take and perform the transformation of this salon and fold all the seats from the back rows, then you can free up a huge free space in the form of 3,240 liters. At the same time, some chairs can be converted into very comfortable tables. And the front panel of this minivan retains its central position of all its main instruments. And behind the steering wheel itself of this SsangYong Rodius / Stavic model, a small shield appears that can repeat the instructions of the speedometer itself, and the best versions of this car will be able to offer a touch screen display, which is located on the center console.
This 2013 SsangYong Stavic / Rodius is powered by a 2 liter turbo-diesel engine that can produce 155 horsepower, which works with a six-speed manual gearbox, and can also work with a five-speed automatic transmission, which can be taken from an alliance with the company mercedes benz.
But, for Russia, this SsangYong Stavic / Rodius 2013 car will be offered with another powerful 3.2 liter unit, which will offer a six-cylinder architecture, but its power and dynamic capabilities have not yet been specified.
