3) Attach the wires to the mirror and pull them into the niche of the interior ceiling. Minus connect to the wiring of the ceiling. To connect the plus, prepare a long wire, about 5 meters. To turn on the rear view camera and monitor at the same time, run a positive wire from the reverse light.
4) Pull all existing wires under the casing. It is not necessary to remove the entire headlining. Remove the door seal on the right side and pull the wire along the edges of the door openings.
5) Bring the ends of the wires to the middle part of the trunk door.
6) To install the camera, remove the plastic from the tailgate. On the base of the license plate light there is a special plug designed for the camera. Take out the plug, install the camera using the latches and mounting clip.
7) Lead the camera wiring to the reversing lamp. Connect the plus and the so-called minus.
8) Pull the ends of the wires from the camera through the corrugated hose through which the washer fluid is supplied to the rear window of the Mitsubishi ASX, bring the wires to the reversing lamp. Connect the positive wire to the plus of the flashlight, connect the camera connector to the monitor connector.
9) Do a pre-check. Without starting the engine, put the car in last gear. An image should appear on the monitor.
10) In the event that everything works, then remove the wires and then, fix the interior lighting cover in place, return the parts of the removed skin to their place.
11) All work should take no more than 2 – 3 hours.
12) As a result, lines for safe parking are clearly displayed on the mirror. Line borders differ in color. The yellow line indicates a distance of about 1 meter from the rear bumper. Green line – 0.5 meters. Red line – 0.3 meters.
13) All parking lines are perfectly displayed at night.
